This evening Paul O'Grady (otherwise known as Lily Savage) came to Vauxhall to open the new entrance to the newly named Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. Paul was invited as his career began at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, where this evening's ceremony was held.

Chair of the Friends of Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens Eamonn McMahon thanks Paul O'Grady for coming.

Paul tells the audience about his past life living and working in Vauxhall, and how he is delighted that the history of the Pleasure Gardens is now being celebrated.

Paul opens the new entrance, with Leader of Lambeth Council Steve Reed and MP for Vauxhall Kate Hoey.

Ponies and llamas from Vauxhall City Farm joined the celebration.

The new columns were lit up pink for the occasion.
