Renovated Ethelred Towers unveiled

Most residents of Kennington will have noticed that a local landmark is beginning to reveal the end results of its facelift.

Brittany Point is the first of the three Ethelred Towers to have its scaffolding removed after a refurbishment lasting more than a year.

Millions of pounds has been spent transforming the three towers, with new windows, cladding, bathrooms and kitchens. The towers are now radically more energy efficient and should raise the quality of life for residents.

And most SE11 residents will also agree that the new bright and clean cladding is a dramatic improvement to the tired brown concrete which went before!
